Catholic Word Publisher Group currently has over 20 Catholic publisher members who produce quality Catholic books and resources which provide real answers to the burning needs and questions relevant to today’s Catholic/needs. Our two major areas of focus are:
1. Providing support and service to bookstores, our reseller partners.
2. For those who do not have access to a local Catholic store, we work with parishes, schools, apostolates and individuals.

Our History
Founded in 1997 by Carolyn Klika as a Catholic family-owned company, Catholic Word began in response to publishers’ need for assistance in reaching the Catholic world with their titles. Our company has been entrusted to the intercession of our four patron saints:
St. Maximilian Kolbe – priest, communicator, publisher, courageous Auschwitz martyr St. Francis de Sales – priest, author of the classic Introduction to the Devout Life and converted 70,000 souls St. Josemaria Escriva’ – priest, author of spiritual gems, taught the way to sanctify our lives through our daily work St. John Bosco – priest, publisher, dynamic missionary to boys and known for his joy and entertaining spirit
In 2003, Catholic Word opened its new custom built office/warehouse building in central Wisconsin, dedicated and blessed by Archbishop Raymond Burke. In 2009, we opened a second office in the Chicago area. We work closely with our local pastors and our bishops.
Our first publisher is Ascension Press, founded by Matthew Pinto, whose 1st title Did Adam & Eve Have Belly Buttons? became the top selling teen book in the Church nine years in a row.
